BSDLabs basic e-mail setting
Setting up e-mail usually requires two steps - setting up the incoming mail server and the outgoing (SMTP) server.
Below are the settings used for our services.
Please note that we use self-signed certificates, in order to use SSL and TLS with the e-mail client usually some sort of certificate installation may be required. If you already have a username and password, log in using the form from the Start page and read more about certificates and how they are installed.
Incoming server, IMAP:
Server name: stranger.inter-sonic.com
Security, use one out of the following
none, port 143
TLS, port 143
SSL, port 993
Login with the local part of your username, e.g. the part before the "@".
Outgoing server (SMTP)
Server name: terrapin.inter-sonic.com
Security
To be able to send e-mail through our outgoing server, you need two things.
* You must connect with SSL/TLS on port 465 or 587
* You must login using the same username as with the incoming server
